SOLUTION FO: TOXIC HEAT Topical Powder
WHY CHOOSE IT
Folliculitis (pustules/pus-filled bumps): Have you heard the term “pyoderma” from your vet? Pyoderma literally means pus in the skin. They are infections and one of the most common skin issues in dogs (not as common in cats). They can be “superficial” if they only involve superficial infection of the hair follicle (folliculitis). Or they can be classified as “deep pyoderma” (a.k.a. “deep folliculitis”) when the infection breaks through the hair follicle and causes a deeper infection. They are usually a bacterial (staph) infection. Superficial and deep folliculitis almost always have an underlying cause (allergies or endocrine disorders are common) that absolutely needs to be investigated by your pet’s veterinarian.
SOLUTION FO: TOXIC HEAT Topical Powder is for use on wet (suppurative) lesions to help absorb the pus that oozes out. If pustules are mostly dry (they do not ooze pus), use SOLUTION FO: Toxic Heat Topical Tincture followed by SOLUTION FO: Toxic Heat Ointment to affected skin 3 times daily. **

Sprinkle enough herbal powder onto oozing lesions to absorb the pus. Apply powder 3 times per day or as needed. Discontinue use once lesions no longer appear to be oozing.
If non-healing ulcers are present, mix the Topical Powder with honey (preferably manuka honey) and apply to the wound. Cover with gauze (do not occlude - allow for airflow). Replace the mixture with a fresh batch daily. Once the ulcer begins to scab over, apply the matching Herbal Ointment to the edges of the wound 2 or 3 times daily. Repeat this process until healed.
